U14s BIG WINNER
Hosting the visitors SAHA Jets the Rovers
enjoyed a rare match dominance that paid off handsomely in the form of
an 8-1 win - well done to all the boys and let's hope to build on this
strong performance.
U11s CUP DOUBLE
Another excellent gritty performance in a
tough cup game with Onny Eagles gave the Rovers a 2-1 win. Great goals
from Tom B and Toby with solid defending from Jack and Will and superb
goalkeeping by Edward. An all round true team performance that secured
Rovers' path through to two cup semi-finals, and still the possibility
of topping the league too!
UNDER 11s NEW SIGNINGS ADD STRENGTH & DEPTH
The U11s are on the up as they welcome two quality new players into the
squad. Both Billy and Toby bring skill, speed and experience and are
sure to strengthen the side even further. Indeed Toby, debuted in the
6-1 domination of Onny Eagles and immediately made his mark by adding
his name to the scoresheet and coming close several times.
CHARTER STANDARD UPDATE
The club is now well on its way to achieving Charter Standard status
and are meeting the new FA Development Officer this month to move
further along the process. Watch this space for more information.
UNDER 14s JOIN SHROPSHIRE
LEAGUE
The popular U14s team has now moved to the Shropshire Junior Football
League as the SSJFL was unable to provide enough teams to form an
adequate league. They are joined by Magpies and Ludlow U14s from the
SSJFL. The move has not affected popularity with a fully signed squad of
18 intending to play regularly. |
