U10s "BEST EVER" IN CHARITY CUP
The U10s played the best game of their careers, last weekend (Sep 28th), in the Charity Cup away at Sporting Colts . The Colts haven't lost in 2 years and were concerned at the immense Rovers performance, which could well have been a win, leading to 1-1 after extra time. Unfortunately the less experienced Rovers players saw the Colts win overall 4 - 2 on penalties.
Excellent performance see report

THE INCREDIBLES
The U9s pulled off an amazing win away on Sunday fielding only 6 against the Coreley 7. Outstanding work in defence from Mark Pepper, solid midfield play from Tom Blount, Mike Robinson and Lyle Morgan with confident goalkeeping from Lewis Pratt all contributed to the 6-1 win. More amazingly Jack Pritchard scored a hat-trick only to find later he had played the match with a broken arm!

U10s BUILD-UP TO CUP
The U10s travelled to Orleton last weekend to secure their second success of the league campaign with two goals from Captain Alex Hearle, one from Connor Leask and a goal for debutant Sam Morgan to secure a 0-4 win. Next weekend sees the club's first foray into the Charity Cup travelling away to Sporting Colts.

U12s GAIN VALUABLE EXPERIENCE
The U12s gained valuable experience in only their 2nd ever 11-a-side match against an older and far more experienced Magpies side in the local derby. With only 13 players available to face the full strength Magpie squad of 16 the 2-10 result was a credible achievement. Both Rovers goals scored by two of the five under aged players, both in their second ever match for the team!

GOOD START FOR U10 & U14
Both sides saw their first league action on the 14th to see great success with a 9-0 win for U10s at Cleobury and a 13-0 win at home versus Ludlow for the U14s.

WEATHER DISRUPTS SEASON START
UNDER 9s PLAY & WIN
The Under 9s were the only team able to play a league match at the weekend where so many games fell foul of the weather/pitch conditions. A nice 3 - 0 win at home to Orleton saw Tom Blount netting a brace and Jack Pritchard the other!

EARLY SEASON SUCCESS
UNDER 8s WIN ONNY TOURNAMENT
The Under 8s opened the season at the Onny FC U8s tournament beating Leominster in the semi and Onny in the final to take the shield. Each player received a gold medal.
Well done U8s and special thanks to Owen Holdsworth & Jack Leask playing their final game for the club. We wish them well in the future and thank them for their commitment and contribution last season.

A ROVER GOES A WANDERING
Congratulations to Ben Crump Red Rovers U8/U9 outstanding goalkeeper who signed-on for Wolverhampton Wanderer FC Academy after being spotted playing for our U10s in the summer!
We wish Ben a great future and thank him for his superb contribution to winning two cups and league runner-up with the U9s last season with some stunning performances. Anyone who wants to try and fill Ben's boots this season in either U9s or U10s please let us know ASAP.
